There are few things in life that thrill me as much as thousands of nerds gathered into a small space. Youmacon 2012 was no exception. I was only able to attend on Saturday, but it was a blast. The first panel I went to was called "Ethics of Death Note". Not many people know how much I adore this anime. I had anticipated a thorough, in-depth, philosophical discussion on the different metaphors and character dynamics present in the story (I am such a freaking Ravenclaw

). I was disappointed. However, we DID play Death Note Mafia. AND I GOT TO BE L!!!! And I DOMINATED!!! There were two L's and two Lights. I got both Kiras in a total of 3 turns. BWAHAHAHA!!! Anyway...
After that, I went to the Fairy Tail panel- which was awesome, because Todd Haberkorn and Cherami Leigh were there. And the best part. Wait for it...Todd personally gave me (and, like, everybody else) an M&M.

I managed to keep my composure, which was difficult because Hikaru gave me candy. And then I almost ran face first into Caitlin Glass an hour later.
Overall, it was amazing. There were so many fantastic cosplayers, and people were so nice. It was also an excuse for me to wear my Death the Kid hat (which I knitted myself, thank you very much

) in an environment where people actually know what it is. Now, to think up a good cosplay for next year. Any ideas?
